Every good project starts with a plan. We take time to listen and understand your goals, vision, and priorities, then guide you through the design process to turn your ideas into a clear plan your builder can work from.

The beginning of our process often looks like a brain dump – words, sketches, photos, lot information, and anything else that helps us understand your vision. We then bring those ideas together into a clear plan that reflects your priorities.
Our Process
Define
Step 1 - Vision & Priorities
We learn your goals, style preferences, must-haves, and timeline.
Step 2 - Requirements & Constraints
We review the scope, existing conditions, site or envelope constraints, and key project requirements.
Design
Step 3 - Concept Design
We develop an initial design direction, and, where helpful, compare targeted options.
Step 4 - Review & Refine
We review the design together, gather your feedback, and refine the plan around the decisions that matter most.
Steps 3 and 4 repeat as needed until we arrive at a design direction you’re ready to move forward with.
Validate
Step 5 - Budget & Scope Check
Before developing the plans further, we pause to validate the scope and, when possible, review the design with your builder to make sure it is consistent with your budget and expectations. Making these decisions now can avoid unnecessary drafting, redesign, and engineering costs later.
Document
Step 6 - Plan Development
We develop the approved design into a more complete plan set, working through the details and making focused adjustments along the way.
Step 7 - Engineering & Final Coordination
We coordinate with the required engineers, incorporate their work, and complete the final plan set.
Build
Step 8 - Ready for Permitting & Construction
Your completed plans are ready to move forward through permitting and into construction.
